Linear Model VS. Linear Regression VS. Linear Programming
We have found many data analysts are confused with the terminologies of linear model, linear regression and linear programming. We have recently made a short video to explain how to distinguish the linear model vs. nonlinear model, linear regression vs. nonlinear regression, and linear programming.
Outlier Analysis
Extreme values are difficult to deal with in data analysis. Many analysts tend to over-aggressive clean the extreme values. This will make the models look much better. However, the models don’t reflect the real conditions and usually output biased results. Here we used a few examples to demonstrate how to treat extreme values and what would be the impacts if the data is over-cleaned.
